praise ..

there are things on my mind today ..
a recent conversation with a kindhearted loving friend
a recent conference i attended that got my goat ...

but
i pause that ..

today is the 1st day of the week
a day historically set aside for worship
for recognizing God
in honour
in gratitude
in obeisance

creator
sustainer
lover
priest
offering
saviour
reconciler
father
brother

love
grace
mercy
forgiveness
longsuffering
truth
holy
compassion

how can i not be thankful

how can i not worship this God

who is like unto you Lord God
there is none that can compare to you
none
anywhere
ever

your love is undying
yet dying

your mercy everlasting
your grace pervades the universe

   Lord of Hosts
   babe in a stable

   king of kings
   homeless wandering prophet

   creator
   lamb offering

   outshining of Godhead
   perfect expression of humanity

how wonderful you are
how marvelous
glorious

all praise is due to you alone
