we met again
shared a meal
broke the bread and shared the cup

and we spoke our wildest imaginations
concerning the homeless
and the many and various uses the compound could be put to
to involve the community
to destroy barriers
to cross the river

music - the international sound
art - the international vision
food and showers for the homeless
tent grounds for shelter
a garden of beauty and benches  ?
a choir of beautiful voices
a bicycle repair shop  ?
a clothing bank  ?
the 'sanctuary' used for special needs homeless women and children
and on
and on ...


we search
and speak our hearts
and listen ...
for unity
for whatcanwedo
for howcanwedo

i am increasingly amazed
at the wealth of understanding and compassion knowledge and ability and energy
that sits around that table
and am humbled

the man whose vision lit this candle
increasingly amazes me
at his humility and love and compassion

i move among the holy and the blessed
and am blessed in the moving

God only
is the inspiration and passion
hurting people
are the field
we
the usable

may this genesis
become an exodus
out of hurt
into love
for many

and peace
