Earth movements ..

i watched this video
of a movement
people
moved by a cause
stretching themselves
spreading the movement
for the sake of the earth
for the sake of the next generation
and the next after
and the next after the next ...

it's a movement bent on protecting a 1 mill sq mile area in the Ecuadorian Amazon
apparently the last remaining pristine rainforest
threatened by the lust for consumption
fueled by oil
and i thought . .. . . . . .... .

wow
isn't that what we christians are about  ?  ?  ?

they see themselves as the critical generation
the one that has the opportunity
to make a huge impact on life on this planet ..
critical because the unchecked damage potential
from not doing anything now
could be catastrophic

they see that ..

and they have grown this thing into a worldwide movement
education
discussing
inspiring action

   The Oral Histories of People Experiencing Homelessness
Presents the Awakening the Dreamer Symposium, 
   focusing on Homelessness.

Through the Symposium we will explore:
   The connection between homelessness and the general health of our society
   The human aspect of homelessness and its costs to all of us
   Some of the local initiatives being offered
   What we, as a community, can do together in a spirit of compassion, to alleviate homelessness in our county.
