death is an enemy !

my heart is rather heavy today
a young friend lies in terrible condition in a hospital
and they can see no hope for her to live
so they're taking away the meds and the life-support

yesterday i went down this street
same street i've been down before
walked around robin hood's barn
and took all kindsa red-herring-trails
to placate my soul
to placate my theology
and make it seem ok

my fav one was
" God probably knows that if she lives she will suffer more
   he's actually being merciful and loving "

ya
well ... . . . . .. . .

i hate that
i'm done with it
it may be true by the way
but i hate doing that

my holybook tells me
death is an enemy
a rabid ravishing enemy

Then comes the end, when He [Jesus] hands over the kingdom to God the Father, when He abolishes all rule and all authority and power. For He must reign until He puts all His enemies under His feet. 
The last enemy to be abolished is death.
that's scripture

it is the sinsting that brought death into Creator God's earth
it was the unfaithfulness of the humans
that allowed the antiGod satan the right to gain a foothold and hold sway ...
i must never ever forget that ...
death is the wicked result of human being deceived  and mistrusting faithful Creator ...
it is the enemy of humanity

so i'm done with the theological rationalizing

however
even so
God is faithful
and he will not allow the satan to triumph in the end
and Jesus is his definitive response
his final response to satan and sin and death  ! !

God is faithful to his human creation
to all creation ...
he became a human to prove that
and Jesus has begun the massive reconciliation
still in process
to be completed later

and thanks be to you Lord God
for ...
When this corruptible is clothed with incorruptibility, and this mortal is clothed with immortality,
then the saying that is written will take place: Death has been swallowed up in victory.
Death, where is your victory?
Death, where is your sting?
Now the sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. 
But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!

to God be all the glory, satan !

you will one day find your deserved place
and death and Hades will follow

in my stunted understanding
my prayer for my girl friend
is that she not suffer
that God will deliver her from that
in the face of the satan
and as a testimony to the power of the God who loves
and who is
in the end
master of all
even death
