every new highway
countering the enemy
mostly in understated ways
   guerilla style
but sometimes in bold inyourface and blatantly overt movements
like the swing in some classical piece
crescendoing
almost blowing your eardrums
...

while waves crashed
and tides rose and fell
mountains loomed large
and the deeps beckoned into blackness
that dog slept smiled played
never complained
always happy
always
