Let your spirit guide your walk and you will not carry out the desires of your flesh, for the flesh desires what is contrary to the spirit, and the spirit desires what is against the flesh.
They are opposed to each other; as a result, you don’t always end up doing what you intended.
...
The works of the flesh are evident:
sexual immorality, moral impurity, promiscuity ..
idolatry, sorcery ..
hatreds, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger ..
selfish ambitions, dissensions, factions, envy ..
drunkenness, carousing ..
and similar things.
I'm telling you, as I told you before,
those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
But the spirit bears this fruit:
love
joy
peace
patience
kindness
goodness
faith
gentleness
self-control
and the like.
Those who belong to Messiah Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
If we are alive in our spirit, we must also walk led by our spirit.
We can’t allow ourselves to act arrogantly and to provoke or envy each other.
Galatains 5
wow
wow
splitting that into it's composite parts is quite .. . .. sobering ..
which leads
naturally
to this ..
I may speak in the languages of humans and even of angels
but if I don’t have love, I am nothing but loud gongs and clashing cymbals
I may have the gift to speak what God has revealed
and I may understand all mysteries
and have all knowledge
I may even have enough faith to move mountains
but if I don’t have love
I am nothing .. ... ..... .
I may even give away all that I have
and give up my body to be burned
but if I don’t have love
i gain nothing by it .. . .
Love is patient
Love is kind
Love isn’t jealous
it doesn’t sing its own praises
it isn’t arrogant
it isn’t rude
it doesn’t insist on its own way
it isn’t irritable
it doesn’t keep track of wrongs
it isn’t happy with injustice,
but is happy with the truth
Love
never stops being patient
never stops believing
never stops hoping
never gives up
Love has no end . . . ..... . . .
it is endless ..
1Corinthians 13
think on these things ..
