a long shortstory .. the 5th part ..

it had been quite sometime ..

the 2 newkind Earthkeepers had walked the length and breadth of the land
and had seen virtually everything there was to see
its beauty
it's glorious muchvariety ..
it truly was an amazing place ..
but then they didn't see it that way for that was what they allknew ..
to them it was homeplace
it was all they knew

they took the kingson's charge to heart
and were careful to wellkeep it
tending to this and that

and they were wellknowing eachother too
timealone will do that, you know
and they had longlongtimealone
their eachotherness grew more and more

and so it went ..

oneday a longlongtime ago
the kingson appeared ..

he had been back there before of course ..
he would never have left the newkind beings alone with no carewatching
the Darkeyed Howler was a serious threat ..

but he didn't want them to know he was around ..
for one thing he wanted them to learn eachother
and carewatching was a hindrance to that
for another he wanted them to mature in the newplace
   their newhomeplace
and grow into the Earthkeepers they were designed to be
and carewatching was a hindrance to that too

he let the 2 newkinds see him this time as he walked through the garden ..
he picked some fruit and ate it as he slowwalked
looking at the lifeforms
taking in the scents and the sights ..

" we thought .. we wondered if you remembered us ..
you were gone longlongtime .. "

i wanted you to have eachothertime
lots of it .. "

" we're glad you sent the carewatcher
he is goodperson and we enjoy his company .. "   .. ..   .      .

he walked somewhile

so Darkeyed Scowler was here

faster than i thought he would
and he was boldfaced too ..

he called to them
" what did you talk about with him ? "

he spoke manythings
told us about life in outworld
otherworlds where otherkinds live ..
he is very wise .. "

kingson was going to say " i told you to be on your guard "
but he notsayed it

" i will return soontime ..

" i bestthought they need to learn alone with eachother
