.. [ GodFather ] has rescued us from the domain of darkness
   and transferred us into the kingdom of the Son He loves
in the Son we have redemption and forgiveness of sins

this Son is the image of the invisible God

he is superior to all created things
   for everything was created by him
      in heaven and on earth
         the visible and the invisible
            whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities
   all things have been created
      through him
      and for him
he is prior to all things and holds all things together

the Son is also the head of the body, the church
he is its genesis
   the firstborn from the dead
      so that He might come to have preeminence
      in everything

for God was pleased to have all His fullness dwell in Him
and through Him to reconcile
   everything 
      to His Godself
         by making peace through the blood of his cross
   whether things on earth or things in heaven
      [ the visible and the invisible ]
         [ whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities ]
[ all things are reconciled to GodFather through him ]
